Why is no one buying Cut Short on amazon at the moment?
Here's a lovely photo of Cut Short in someone's garden. It looks like a good summer read, doesn't it?
(Cut Short, if you're new to my blog, is the first in my series of crime thrillers).

Busy busy. Sounds like you're reaping the whirlwind. Enjoy!
My time's running out, Charles . . .
What a schedule!
I can't believe you have managed to cram all this in your school holiday. That takes genius.
I can't help wondering how different your experience may have been with an agent. I just have no idea. I really admire your diligence.
Hi Debs - I'm having great fun with it all - not looking forward to going back to work next month!
That's partly why I'm cramming so much in, PI, while I have time available. I've no idea how different my experience might have been with an agent - hopefully I'll find out one day . . . As for your other comments, I happily admit to diligence, but genius . . . not me, I'm afraid! Wish I was. Then maybe I wouldn't need to be so diligent.
Hi Leigh
Thanks for visiting my blog. You're welcome to use the photo whenever and wherever you like. I'm really flattered that you like it.
You sound so busy, but I hope you're enjoying yourself.
Here it is, dabrah! Your lovely photo on my blog. It looks perfect - all it needs is a glass of Pimms - and perhaps a large box of choccies . . .
I'm so excited for you!! I haven't been over in a little while with all the crazy at work and look at everything that's going on.
On my way to Amazon to buy the book. I can't wait to read it. :)
Enjoy every bit of this, you so deserve all the happiness and wonderful things.
Hi Vicki, lovely to hear from you again. I can't wait to hear what you think of Cut Short.
have just ordered on Amazon. Thanks for comment, and prod to do so! Have run out of reading matter and looking forward to yours. Fingers crossed....
A wonderhorse commenting on my blog. I'm galloping off to check out your blog, Skipper! I hope you enjoy Cut Short. Let me know what you think of it.
Hi Leigh, many thanks for visiting me at Pen And Paper. So you like Maukie, the cat - isn't he lovely? To be honest I'm not too sure how I got him, Hubby did it for me as I'm not that computer literate. If you go to my blog and click on 'Get Widget' you should automatically go to the site. Let me know how you get on. Here's hoping to see you again.
Hi Pak Karamu, thank you for visiting. I'll be along to see what's happening on your blog.
Sorry, Petty, I was right there, following you, but as soon as you said widget you lost me. I keep hearing all these new words like widget and I've no idea what they mean . . . widget . . . dongle . . . they sound like new names for the seven dwarves to me, might as well be as far as I'm concerned. But yes, I really like your little cat!
Good summer read if the summer is good.
Cryptic comment, Monique - but I can tell you my summer has been amazing. Sadly it's nearly over. I hope we meet again next summer and are able to spend more time chatting in the real world! I must be more organised on next year's tour. This year has been a bit of a crazy whirl.
How very exciting, Leigh! Please take care of yourself during the extremely busy time coming up! It's so easy to get run down, but I'm sure you already know that.
Just popped by to say hi and I loved the book! I finished it in record time and I've lent it to a friend! Looking forward to reading more. Take care.
You're right, Marion. That's the problem with leading such a busy life - I'm constantly on the brink of succumbing to a bug or a virus. I had a cold for about a week recently. Once I'm back at school I suspect I'll be out for the count. Must get to bed early . . . must get to bed early . . .
Thank you, World According to Me. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Please please tell all your friends to buy it on amazon - it's currently plummeting down the ratings again (oh no!) I hope it bounces back again but I suppose my little success can't go on forever . . . (sigh)
I gave you a mention on Charlie's blog. (he's on my side bar I can't do links on comments yet)
He writes a lot about books so gets lots of readers and he's American.
Hello Leigh
Thanks for reading my blog and the 1st page of Pearl and the Sea-Dragon... Your going to be busy for the longest time... I think your right about me enjoying your book, it looks a fine read its moved to the top of my reading list.

Thank you very much, PI - at the moment I need all the support I can muster, after my initial burst of enthusiasm and sales. I keep thinking - is this the end of the ride? I hope not, I'm having so much fun - and meeting so many nice people. Someone suggested I start a fan page but I've no idea how to do that. I'm a complete technoignoramus. I'll just keep on blogging. Blogger. It's a good word, isn't it? Sort of plodding and blobby with a little plugging thrown in. OK, I'll stop now!
Thanks, BeyondSight. I know some people find this constant thanking irritating, but I always want to thank people when they comment on my blog, especially first time visitors. Because I really do appreciate the comments. Keep 'em coming!
leigh, i don't have an agent either. and i'm doing all my own promotion. and i'm far too slow at it. but i have to say i'm having a ball. one person who emails me or tells me at a book event that they loved my book and i'm good to go for the month.
i wish i didn't care so much about the numbers, but of course, i do. my goal is 5000. i',m not yet at 500. but so what?
love to you,
kj
