Titles

We've been having discussions at my publisher's about whether to use 'Death' or 'Die' in the title of my next book. I was rather chuffed when the big boss emailed: "I really don't think it matters much any more as it's Leigh's name far more than the title that sells the books now." Nice to know the boss is pleased with me!

I usually find titles with "die" or "death" a bit unimaginative.

Um, why change a good thing, people are looking for your titles right?

Yes, Guillaume. It's hard to be both appropriate and original. Almost every possible title has already been used, some of them several times, and I like to have titles that haven't been used before. It's almost impossible!

Thanks, Val. I hope they keep looking!

I prefer Die to Death. But its true anything you write will be picked up.

That's very kind of you to say so,, Alex, and thank you for stopping by to comment. The discussion was quite lengthy. Some people were passionately in favour of 'Die'. I didn't really have strong feelings about it. But we've reached a decision. Race to Death.
